Description Wincanton are offering the opportunity for Class 2 Drivers to join a delivery team in Portbury, Bristol. Driving a curtain side vehicle with forklift unload at Howden depots in a safe manner, ensuring the loads are secured correctly and that the goods are delivered on time, offloaded in the correct manner, paperwork is signed, and any agreed waste or cages is collected to be returned. Basic Salary - £37,960.00 per annum £16.22 per hour Working Monday – Friday 05:00-06:00 start time 45 hours contract per week, with overtime paid beyond 45 hours worked. Rigid vehicle For every driver that you refer, you can earn an impressive £1,000 (subject to conditions) How will you contribute? · You will be responsible for the accurate and timely movement and delivery of our customers’ products, · Between 6 – 8 deliveries per day on average · Ensuring all documentation is completed accurately with attention to detail. · Adhering to safe working practices to ensure the safety of yourself and others at all times. · Complying with all relevant legislation in line with Drivers Hours and Working Time Directive requirements (opt out available). · Responsible for the Health and Safety of themselves and others, completion of dynamic risk assessments, adhering to safe working practices and the Health & Safety at Work Act, including accident, incident and damage reporting. · To ensure contractual KPI’s over delivery of product is undertaken in both a legally compliant and health and safety manner. · Attending any relevant training as required to ensure you remain fully equipped to perform your role effectively and to assist in the development of continuous improvement. · Keep the vehicle you use clean, tidy and well cared for, so it is ready to be used the next day What will you bring? · Must have valid in date Class 2 licence · Class 1 licence is advantageous · Must have valid in date CPC · Must hold Digital tachograph card · Must not have more than 6 points on licence · Ideally have minimum 6 months driving experience, however newly qualified drivers will be considered · Possess excellent customer facing awareness skills · Good timekeeper and able to work unsupervised · Must be fully flexible on working hours · Enthusiastic and reliable with a commitment to delivering 1st class customer service · Must have good communication skills and a flexible can-do attitude to work Must have a good geographical knowledge Our Culture & Benefits In addition to generous renumeration, we really value our people and offer a friendly, safety-first working environment, along with other benefits including company pension scheme, generous holidays, cycle to work scheme, employee benefits include, online discount platform, onsite parking and much more.
