Job Description:
We are currently seeking a passionate and experienced assistant manager to join our team. The assistant manager will play a key role in ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of our dining establishment alongside the GM. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, excellent communication abilities, and a genuine passion for hospitality.
Responsibilities:
1. Oversee the daily operations of the restaurant in GM absence, including opening and closing procedures, staffing, and customer service.
2. Lead and motivate the front-of-house team and support the General Manager.
3. Train, coach, and mentor staff members to maintain high standards of professionalism and performance.
4. Monitor dining room activity, ensuring that guests are seated promptly, orders are taken accurately, and service is efficient.
5. Handle guest inquiries, concerns, and complaints with professionalism and courtesy, seeking to resolve issues in a timely manner.
6. Maintain cleanliness and organization throughout the restaurant, adhering to health and safety regulations at all times.
7. Collaborate with the management team to develop and implement strategies for improving guest satisfaction and profitability.
Qualifications:
1. Previous experience in a supervisory role within the restaurant industry is strongly preferred.
2. Extensive knowledge of food and beverage operations, including service techniques, menu items, and wine pairings.
3. Exceptional leadership abilities, with a track record of motivating and inspiring team members to achieve excellence.
4. Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with guests, staff, and management.
5. Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and remain calm under pressure.
6. Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.
