Job Overview:
We are looking for a dedicated and reliable Production Operative to join our team at Keystone Lintels, a leading manufacturer of steel lintels. The role involves working on the production line during the PM shift, where you will play a key role in ensuring the efficient manufacturing of high-quality steel lintels. The ideal candidate will have a strong attention to detail, a commitment to safety, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
* Operate machinery and equipment to produce steel lintels in accordance with company standards and specifications.
* Monitor the production process to ensure that all products meet quality control standards.
* Work to production schedules to complete daily work load under the supervision of an experienced team leader
* Perform routine checks and maintenance of machinery to ensure optimal performance.
* Follow safety protocols and maintain a clean and organised work area.
* Report any production issues or equipment malfunctions to the Production Supervisor.
* Carrying our manual handling tasks
* Work from Production Drawings
* Assist in the loading and unloading of raw materials and finished products.
* Maintain accurate records of production output and any issues that arise during the shift.
* Work collaboratively with team members to meet production targets and deadlines.
* Adhere to company policies regarding health, safety, and environmental guidelines.
* Participate in training and development activities as required.
* Report any non-conformances identified immediately to management
* Comply with all company rules, policies and procedures
Skills and Qualifications:
* Previous experience in a production or manufacturing environment is preferred.
* Basic knowledge of steel lintel production processes is an advantage, but full training will be provided.
* Strong attention to detail and the ability to work efficiently and accurately.
* Good communication skills and the ability to work well in a team.
* Familiarity with health and safety regulations in a manufacturing setting.
* A proactive approach to problem-solving and the ability to adapt to changes in production requirements.
