Network Rail High Speed Ltd. (NRHS) is responsible for operating and maintaining the UK's only international high-speed railway, High Speed (HS1). The 109km HS1 infrastructure consists of a diverse range of railway assets such as the track, signalling, overhead line, lineside buildings, depots, viaducts, and long tunnels. NRHS is also responsible for operating and maintaining three international stations; St Pancras, Ebbsfleet, and Stratford International. As a wholly owned subsidiary of Network Rail Infrastructure Ltd, NRHS is privately financed under an agreement with our client HS1 Ltd, undertaking a diverse range of activities from railway infrastructure maintenance and operations to station facilities management and retail on behalf of our client.

Brief Description
The role
We are excited to be introducing a Team Leader Track Inspection into our Singlewell team. From establishing safety arrangements to checking the quality of work, you'll direct and inspire the success of a team involved in everything from inspection and faulting to maintenance and renewal. We'll look to you to direct, organise, and motivate a high performing team. From inspection and faulting through to maintenance and renewal, you'll play a hands-on role. You'll make sure everything is done efficiently and to the highest standards. Safety will be a priority. You'll establish appropriate safety arrangements and make sure Network Rail staff and contractors alike follow safe systems of work. Proactively controlling and checking the quality of work and the competence of your people, you'll ensure that assets are fully compliant and all vehicles, plant, tools, equipment, and materials are fit for purpose. Along the way, you'll compile a range of vital reports.

About the role (External)
The person
So, who are we looking for? If you can answer yes to the following questions, then we look forward to receiving your application.
Do you have:
1. Experience of organising and controlling the safe and efficient delivery of work
2. Excellent communication skills, both in person and in writing
3. Knowledge of discipline-specific maintenance, inspection, faulting, and renewal techniques
4. Knowledge of relevant standards, procedures, and instructions
5. A clear and inspirational leader with a strong sense of direction
Although it isn't essential, it would be helpful if you have:
1. Hold or be working towards an NVQ level 2 or 3 (or equivalent) in a relevant subject or have attained the appropriate level of knowledge gained through equivalent relevant experience
2. Able and willing to drive vehicles as required by business need
This role involves days, nights, and weekend working, and is a safety-critical role so subject to drug and alcohol testing and passing of the relevant medical assessment.
