XPS Group is a leading UK consulting and administration business specialising in the pensions and insurance sectors. Our Pensions Administration business continues to grow and we are now looking for experienced Technical Pensions Analysts to join one of our vibrant offices with hybrid or remote working. This is an exciting role and would most likely suit someone with previous experience of working within an administration team as a user, or a system support position in the pensions industry.
The Role
As a Technical Pensions Analyst with XPS you will:
* Install both Defined Benefit and Defined Contribution schemes onto our administration systems.
* Be responsible for technical leadership contributing to the successful completion of the project.
* Perform technical work items, including but not limited to:
o Analysis of administration data sets
o Mapping of data to our administration systems
o Creation of calculation specification and test pack for system automation
o Regression and User Acceptance Testing
* Support our administration teams work for existing clients, which is managed by an internal helpdesk and ticketing systems.
* Review and develop team processes, in recognition of the changing marketplace and for continuous improvement.
Your profile
Essential Criteria
* Proven experience of working within an administration team as a user, or a system support position in the pensions industry is required.
* IT proficient, with an emphasis on using Excel.
* Proficient knowledge in benefit structures and calculation requirements for DB, DC or Hybrid pension schemes.
Desirable Criteria
* Experience of working with common pension administration systems and third-party IT suppliers is desirable e.g. PenScope, Compendia, ProFund and Altair.
* Understanding of programming languages such as Visual Basic is not required but may be beneficial.

The successful candidate will need to demonstrate the following requirements:
