Position Overview
To produce full cash allocation to reconciliation of GL accounts, on a timely basis, according to defined procedures, respecting quality and compliance.
Key Responsibilities
1. To ensure customer payments are applied accurately and timely in accordance with Service Level Agreements and defined procedures.
2. To download customer remittances and bank statements and ensure customer payments are applied based on it.
3. To resolve payment discrepancies through direct contact with local markets, Credit Management and Collections teams, making proposals and addressing root causes.
4. To review any unidentified or unallocated payment receipts and work with the collections associate to determine the correct posting.
5. To maintain the daily cash book updated.
6. To perform AR month-end activities.
7. To attend monthly AR meetings to discuss the KPI metrics.
8. To flag any required updates to policies and work instructions and send to the Team Lead for approval.
9. To suggest and implement process improvements.
10. Participate in team projects and initiatives.
Key Requirements
1. 2-5 years experience
2. Working knowledge of cash application process (mandatory)
3. Working knowledge of SAP (mandatory)
4. Experience with different markets and payment methods is a plus
5. Working knowledge of Microsoft excel & outlook
6. Good communication skills
7. Autonomous, proactive mindset and results oriented
8. Continuous Improvement mind-set
9. Good mathematical skills
Qualifications/Education
1. University Degree - Finance qualification preferred
2. Previous experience working in a GBS environment is a plus
Languages
1. Speaking: Yes English* Fluent
2. Writing/Reading: Yes English* Fluent
