This is an exciting opportunity to join a rapidly growing and dynamic organisation. We are looking for an Advisory Assistant to support our Advisory team in Manchester.
The role will involve helping businesses struggling with VAT / PAYE & NI arrears, usually as a direct result of bad customer debts, significant drop in sales turnover, or the insolvency of a major customer. The specialist team within advisory are experts in restructuring debts and have a strong track record with HMRC of successfully enabling repayment and the survival of businesses. Previous experience within advisory or restructuring is not required.

The specific duties and responsibilities will include:
* Preparing P&L accounts and cash flow forecasts for repayment of debts to HMRC
* Preparing / drafting reports for HMRC negotiations and short-form business reviews
* General filing and setting up of cases
* Liaising with business owners and directors to obtain critical accounting and sales information
Skills required:
* If you are a recent A Level student with an interest in accounting, finance, business, or other relevant subjects, we want to hear from you.
* Self-driven with a positive outlook
* Motivated and proactive with the ability to work both well alone and as part of a team
* Strong organisation and planning skills with the ability to work to deadlines
* Excellent written and oral communication skills
* Sound financial knowledge and numerical skills
* Good knowledge of Microsoft Office packages
