For this role you must be fully flexible Monday to Sunday. You will be allocated shifts on a rotational basis. You must be able to work a combination of 8am -8pm/ 8pm -8am depending on day or night shift role.
You will not be able to provide us with your availability and we cannot allocate you your preferred shifts. Please consider this carefully before applying.
The Home
Blair House Care Home is a registered Nursing Home located on the outskirts of Newtownards, overlooked by Scrabo Tower. It is close to the town centre with different transport options available. Blair House Care Home has a total of 85 beds across 4 units including Residential Dementia, Nursing Dementia, Frail and Elderly Nursing, and a newly opened Mental Health Unit. The team in Blair House Care Home are well experienced in their fields and provide high quality care to all of our residents.
The Role
The role of a Registered Nurse in our services is a key position in our mission to provide excellent and inclusive care. The Registered Nurse is a leadership role, playing a vital part in managing the care of our residents and providing high-quality and person-centred care. The Registered Nurse will work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams to assess, plan, implement and evaluate care plans tailored to the individual needs of our residents.
We pride ourselves on being able to deliver excellent care to our residents. As a Registered Nurse, you will support the management of shifts, ensuring the safety of all residents and our team. About the Role
Main Responsibilities
* Delivering person-centred care to each resident
* Assess and monitor the physical health of residents within care plans
* To offer support and supervise all care staff or new recruits
* Ensure effective communication of any concerns relating to resident care
* Complying with relevant regulatory and statutory requirements
* Undertake any other duties that may be reasonably required as designated by the Home Manager

What You Will Need

* Minimum of 6 months nursing experience
* The Right to Work in the UK
* The ability to work independently and supervise a team
* Have a good standard of written and oral English
