Job Description:
Principal Geotechnical Engineer required for the London/Ireland offices.
* The successful candidate will have a proven track record in technical project delivery, within the geotechnical / geo-structural or ground engineering fields and an ability to manage a team.
* Reporting to the Regional Manager and Project Directors, the successful candidate will be responsible for the technical delivery and financial success of their projects alongside maintaining.
* Developing client relations within one or more of CGL's key market sectors and supporting and developing a team of early career engineers.
Responsibilities:
* Project Manager for a portfolio of large and medium size projects, within commercial, residential, energy, rail and infrastructure projects.
* Complete and maintain project financial reporting to track project performance/health and regularly update pipeline forecasting keeping Project Directors, the Regional Manager and Commercial Lead informed.
* Undertake checks of project technical deliverables, within your area of expertise, to include factual and interpretative reports, risk assessments, analytical calculations, testing schedules, ground models and design recommendations.
* Lead technical meetings with clients, regulators, co-consultants, and other stakeholders.
* Manage a team of geotechnical engineers, engineering geologists, and geo-environmental engineers and project administration.
* Support the Regional Manager and Commercial Lead with business development.
* Demonstrable experience in slope stability assessment and remediation, ground movement analysis including basement impact assessment and consolidation, foundation design and temporary works. Experience of earthworks design.
* Experience with relevant geotechnical software including Oasys PDisp, Greta, and Slope, Rocscience Slide, WALLAP and Tekla Tedds. Familiarity with Plaxis 2D and 3D.
