Position Summary This is a full-time position within a dynamic and supportive English department. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to teach across Key Stages 3, 4, and 5, inspiring a love of literature and language in students of diverse abilities and backgrounds. Responsibilities Design and deliver engaging, differentiated English lessons aligned with the national curriculum. Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment that encourages student participation and critical thinking. Assess student progress through formative and summative assessments, providing timely and constructive feedback. Contribute to the development and evaluation of departmental schemes of work and resources. Collaborate effectively with colleagues to enhance the overall quality of teaching and learning within the English department. Qualifications and Experience Bachelor's degree in English or a related field. Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent teaching qualification. Proven experience teaching English at the secondary level, ideally across KS3-5. A strong understanding of current pedagogical approaches and assessment practices. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with students, colleagues, and parents.
