In Afghanistan, Bosnia and Herzegovina, the Democratic Republic of the Congo, Iraq, Kosovo, Nigeria, Rwanda, and South Sudan, women learn skills to rebuild their families and communities through the Women for Women International’s Stronger Women, Stronger Nations Programme. They form support networks, are equipped with the skills to earn an income and save and gain knowledge and resources about health and their rights. Since 1993, our global community has invested in the power of over 550,000 women across 17 conflict-affected countries, to create a ripple effect that makes the world more equal, peaceful, and prosperous. The Role This role will join a small and dedicated Corporate and Philanthropy team, responsible for delivering a seven figure income budget annually. The new Philanthropy Manager will play a pivotal role in the continued growth of major donor giving at Women for Women International UK. With a number of dedicated and engaged high-value supporters already committed to our mission, our focus is now on growing our mid-level donor portfolio to support our global revenue strategy and reach more women whose lives have been affected by conflict. With a vision to grow global philanthropy, an element of this role will support in developing new major donor relationships in collaboration with colleagues across UK, Germany and US teams. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with previous experience in developing and growing a mid-level giving programme. This role would suit someone with the following qualities: Experienced in a similar fundraising role, with a specialist knowledge of major donor fundraising Able to work independently to develop and implement fundraising strategies with a proven track record of securing five-figure gifts and delivering against targets A relationship manager with strong networking skills at senior levels internally and externally Experienced in stewardship strategies for major donors or the development of supporter journeys in order to retain donors Excellent skills in presenting information, verbally and in writing, including briefings and project reports to a range of audiences in a clear and confident manner A passion for global issues, women’s empowerment and human rights Organised and able to plan and prioritise to meet multiple deadlines Up to date in your knowledge of fundraising regulation, compliance and GDPR, and its implications for fundraising policy and practise Experienced in database management, ideally Salesforce Diversity at Women for Women International is about inclusion, embracing differences, creating possibilities and growing together for better performance.
