This role is office based, 5 days a week.
The Role: Assistant Buyer
The role will report into the Junior Buyer on the MP Activewear Clothing team and will involve working closely with the design team, merchandisers, and garment technologists to develop and deliver high quality product on seasonal and core ranges. We are looking for somebody who loves product and is keen to progress in a fast-moving team.
Key responsibilities:
1. Support the buying team on delivering full buying cycle with opportunities to quickly progress and take on responsibilities of managing own ranges.
2. Work closely with suppliers on submission approvals, critical path and maintaining supplier relationships.
3. Negotiate cost prices with suppliers to achieve departmental BIM targets.
4. Support with competitor shops online and in-store.
5. Support team with weekly sales analysis.
6. Attend weekly product fit sessions and support team on product confirmations.
7. Carry out regular website product detail checks.
8. Support on photo shoots and campaigns, ensuring product availability.
Requirements:
1. Efficient in Microsoft systems (Outlook, Excel and PowerPoint).
2. Good Time Management.
3. Experience in buying preferably fashion/sportswear role or minimum 12 months.
