We complement Joseph Helers extensive cheese production in Nantwich, providing innovative cheese packing solutions. About the Role We are looking for a motivated Assistant Site Accountant to join our finance team and support site performance management across multiple locations. This role will provide essential accounting support to site leads and senior finance professionals, ensuring accurate financial reporting and proactive business partnering. Key Responsibilities Variance Reporting: Prepare daily and weekly variance reports, identifying key drivers and addressing discrepancies. Month-End Processes: Assist with journal entries, balance sheet reconciliations, and month-end reporting tasks. Data Management: Collect and analyse site data, using financial tools and BI platforms to develop and maintain reporting dashboards. Costing Analysis: Ensure accurate costings for products, projects, and processes, identifying cost inefficiencies and proposing improvements. Cost-Saving Initiatives: Identify opportunities for cost reductions and process improvements. Stock Reporting: Perform monthly stock and material reconciliations, monitor stock movements, and challenge discrepancies. Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) Timely completion of daily/weekly/monthly reports. Active contribution to process and system improvements. Effective support of Senior Commercial Accountant and finance team. Collaboration with stakeholders to enhance site performance. Contribution to cost-saving initiatives and operational efficiency. What Success Looks Like Delivering accurate and timely financial reports. Developing insightful reporting dashboards that drive data-driven decision-making. Building strong working relationships with key stakeholders. Supporting financial processes that contribute to business efficiency and cost control. Essential Qualifications & Experience AAT4, QBE, or Part Qualified ACCA/CIMA. Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and business systems, including ERP (SAP, SI) and Power BI. Strong understanding of BOMs, costings, and variance analysis. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills. Strong communication skills to influence and challenge stakeholders. Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities. Desirable Experience Experience in a manufacturing or FMCG environment. Previous experience in business partnering.
