We have a brilliant opportunity available for someone to become a new collar linker within our development department. The successful candidate will become a flexible member of the current development team. The experienced Collar Linker will be responsible for attaching collars to knitwear garments using linking machines, ensuring that each product meets the company’s high-quality standards. The ideal candidate will have substantial experience working with knitwear, excellent hand-eye coordination, and a strong understanding of garment construction. Additional training will also be provided to upskill. About Barrie Knitwear? Operate linking machines to attach collars to knitwear garments, ensuring precision and consistency Identify and address issues with machines or garments during the linking process to minimize downtime and maintain flow Liaise with Quality Department to ensure garments meet high quality standards and any defects flagged Upskilling to learn how to operate in our Development team Support health and safety within the production area, following all safety guidelines and ensure compliance with company health and safety standards What will you bring to the role? Experience: Proven experience as a collar linker or similar role within the textile industry, preferably with knitwear Skills: Expertise in operating linking machines and handling delicate knitwear materials Strong attention to detail and ability to produce high-quality work Can do attitude and a strong work ethic What benefits can you expect?
