Job Title: Project Lead
Division: IODS Pipeclad
Hours of Work: Full-time: 37.5 hours on shifts (some flexibility required)

Job Purpose:
To ensure the efficient day to day co-ordination of projects to meet customer specifications and deadlines. To keep the customer updated on their orders whilst closely liaising with Production, Purchasing and Subcon to ensure customer satisfaction within the process.
Outline of Role and Responsibilities
• Managing each project from receipt to delivery to the customer.
• Maintaining the companies ERP system managing dates to monitor OTD and plan project activities
• Creating and maintaining Microsoft Project Plans
• Leading Technical and Contract Review Meetings and maintaining the PMD
• Liaising with customers re updates/status reports via email and phone and customers websites
• Liaising with shop floor regarding any project issues
• Progressing parts through production to achieve on time delivery
• Liaising with Subcon and third-party inspectors
• Planning for any shortages or problems that may cause delay to the project
• Supporting customers in swift resolution of product issues, ensuring satisfaction to the customer
• Expediting concessions with customer to ensure quick resolution to reduce impact to project.
• Working with internal and external parties to plan and arrange NOI activities.
• Developing and maintaining good customer relations progressing any customer concerns/queries
• Liaising with Head of Projects on any ad hoc duties
• Providing support to other members of the team when required
Required Skills and Experience
A successful candidate shall need to be able to demonstrate that they have the skills and experience to be:
• Good understanding and awareness of the engineering/manufacturing sectors
• Good understanding and experience of ERP systems (Preferably Progress Plus)
• Good knowledge and experience of Microsoft Office package (including Microsoft Project)
• Excellent communication skills to both team members and customers
• Methodical and organised
• Skilled in attention to detail and accuracy
• Able to time manage and work to deadlines
• A good team player
• Ability to multi-task and adapt to changing needs
• Accepts responsibility and willing to take on new challenges
• Able to use own initiative and make improvement suggestions
• Confident and friendly personality
