We are looking for a talented and pro-active person who can contribute to the valuable role the International Office plays in recruiting and admitting international students to the University. This new post is an exciting addition to the team, supporting both the Head of International Operations and International Admissions Manager in the leadership of the admissions function of the International Office. The post holder will play a key role in helping manage the admissions function alongside supporting the recruitment and commercial functions of the International Office. Main Duties and responsibilities The Deputy International Operations Manager will act as part of the senior management team within international admissions to achieve key objectives and targets set for the team by managing workload across all regions and staff. You will be responsible for managing the International Admissions Officers and assisting in the management of the International Admissions Administrators as required, being responsible for their performance, including recruitment, induction, training, appraisal and performance management. Part of your role will be to ensure the team adhere to all agreed Service Level Agreements and are motivated and encouraged to achieve targets and meet deadlines. In addition, you will work closely with the International Recruitment team, both in the UK and overseas, to gain understanding of designated markets/regions and develop deep understanding of overseas qualifications and education systems. Skills and experience required For this busy and challenging role, you will need excellent management, organisational and IT skills. Proven experience of administrative work, preferably in an educational environment, is advantageous. You should be committed to providing a high-quality service and have excellent communication, interpersonal and problem-solving skills. Experience of customer relationship management systems, student record systems and knowledge of international or EU qualifications would all be advantageous.
