An opportunity has arisen for a Project Director for a client of mine to be based in the Aberdeen area. My client is a Tier 1 main contractor with the successful candidate being seconded to a regional public sector investment organisation.
Key Responsibilities
Work with Clients and SFT to understand and scope out the required outcomes of identified and potential Hub projects
Identify appropriate and affordable funding solutions
Support translation of local and national policies into business cases and development plans, including place, net zero, inclusive economic growth, digital and any other arising new policies as they emerge
Coordinate feasibility studies and establish teams as required
Assess the key risks associated with proposed developments and ensure that these are mitigated or that provision is made to accommodate those risks
Support and promote the implementation of the Infrastructure Commission
Provide leadership to project teams to ensure successful delivery over a full range of projects and programmes from initial inception through to on-site delivery
Establish close and strong relationships with a range of stakeholders.
Experience and qualifications
An understanding of public sector processes and the ability to coordinate Hub activities with those requirements.
Ability to manage innovation within a highly regulated environment.
Familiarity with the preparation of business cases and project bidding.
