Main Roles & Responsibilities
1. To lead in the creation and publication of content around the Club’s Men’s, Women’s and Youth teams.
2. Develop and execute an engaging plan for the Club’s social media channels including but not limited to Facebook, X, Instagram and TikTok.
3. Write news stories from across the Football Club for the Club websites.
4. Produce video content for the Club’s digital channels and Mariners TV, utilising Adobe Creative suite apps; Premier Pro and Photoshop in particular.
5. Manage media enquiries and oversee interviews and press conferences.
6. Oversee the day-to-day co-ordination of Mariners TV, the Club’s live streaming and video content platform and assist in its development.
7. Co-ordinate content and delivery on a matchday, including digital media, big screen and videos for social channels and Mariners TV.
8. Manage all areas of matchday media, including accreditation, for all fixtures.
9. Assist in the production of marketing materials as and when required by the Marketing & Communications Manager. Participate in regular departmental meetings, including recommending improvements to generate fan-engagement.
About The Candidate
1. A strong understanding of and experience of working in the football industry.
2. Portfolio of published articles, strong writing skills and excellent attention to detail.
3. Strong camera and editing skills, and demonstrable ability to edit with relevant software.
4. Experience of creating digital graphics, the ability to use Adobe Creative suite apps; Premiere Pro and Photoshop in particular.
5. Excellent knowledge of social media and current platforms.
6. Effective communication skills, the ability to collaborate easily with a wider team, and able to work towards tight deadlines.
