We are currently looking for a motivated Team Leader Aerodynamic Development. In this strategic role you will lead a group of aerodynamicists to drive the aero development of assigned car parts forward, pursuing current directions and investigating new concepts. You will provide strong leadership to your team, fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation, and excellence. RESPONSIBILITIESAreas that play to your strengths All the responsibilities we'll trust you with:
* Work with Leadership and the Aero Development Group to construct a mutually agreed and communicated Aerodynamic Development Plan for the Group to achieve performance targets given by Aero Leadership.
Under the direction of the Aerodynamics Team Leader, Lead and manage the technical work within the Aero Development Group to ensure a highly competitive Aerodynamic Package for our Formula One cars to agreed deadlines. Personally contribute to Aerodynamic Development work within the group and cross-group. Personal analyses and surfacing of own ideas. Liaise with Design Office and other key stakeholders to ensure Aerodynamic designs are pragmatically and performantly realisable on the car.
* Responsible for people development within their roles, delegation and succession plans, ensure Aerodynamicists and Deputy Team Leader take full ownership and accountability of their roles and responsibilities.
Provide mentorship and guidance to Group members in order to achieve personal and performance targets.
* Communicate key findings, opportunities and threats to key stakeholders within Aero Development and Tools and other key areas of the Company.
Promote an ambitious; positive; respectful, logical and collegiate approach to Aero Development within a clear strategic framework. Provide flexible attendance and attitude to work, both in line with the requirements of the role and any specific requirements of projects. This will include weekend work and occasional overseas travel.

Your areas of knowledge and expertise that matter most for this role:
* University Degree in Aeronautical Engineering, or a related field
* Extensive experience in aerodynamics, particularly in the context of Formula 1.
* Proven People Management skills.
* CAD experience, knowledge of Siemens NX would be preferrable
* Strong ability to quickly learn and adapt to new technologies.
* Remarkable attitude in problem solving and attention to details.
* Self-motivated and with a flexible approach to working hours.
* Ability to scope all tasks thoroughly.
* Delivers timely information and reporting (delivering to deadlines set on the job list and keeping on top of communication).
