The Digital Data and Technology (DDaT) profession enable the Home Office to keep the UK safe and secure. They do this by designing, building, and running the services that help people apply for visas or passports, support policing and counter-terrorism operations, and protect the UK’s borders.
Team members have specialised knowledge and a calling to build on it. We want the best people to come to the Home Office and work in the diverse roles and communities they’re passionate about. This is how we produce exceptional outcomes.
These roles sit in End User Compute and Collaboration, who are responsible for all Home Office end user services, including the provision and support of devices, development and support of applications and business critical services. For example, laptops, mobile phones, video conferencing, contact centre platforms and M365 applications such as MS Teams, SharePoint, OneDrive.
Due to business requirements this post is available on a Full Time/Job Share/Flexible Working basis. Where business needs allow, some roles may be suitable for a combination of office and home-based working. Where this is the case, employees will be expected to spend a minimum of 60% of their working time in the office . Queries can be raised to the address at the bottom of the advert.
We value diversity and inclusion and welcome applications from the widest diversity of backgrounds, cultures, and experiences. We encourage applications from women, people with disabilities and LGBT+ as they are currently under-represented in the Home Office at this grade level. Appointments will be made on merit based on fair and open competition.
A Senior Business Analyst will lead small to medium sized change initiatives, and will also be part of a team of analysts on larger, more complex work, leading on specific epics and requirements. This change might be in relation to new products or iterations to existing products. You will make sure outcomes are aligned with the service vision and business strategy by connecting the current and future business models and delivering towards achieving the business architecture strategy. You will also be involved in supporting and informing product iteration, evolution and optimisation.
You will build and manage effective stakeholder relationships internally and externally. You will challenge constructively and act as a critical voice to stakeholders and delivery colleagues in order to achieve solutions that are fit for purpose.
You will work independently and/or as part of a team and will have a good understanding of your own work area. You will help to advance the Business Analysis community through sharing of best practice and mentoring others.
