Here's what you'll need:
* A degree or equivalent qualification in Building Surveying and either achieved or working towards MRICS / MCIOB accreditation, plus relevant experience; the ability to secure SC level clearance would be advantageous.
* Private practice or consultancy experience with knowledge of relevant legislation such as health and safety, party wall, building regulations/planning, and the Building Safety Act.
* Experience in surveying the condition of existing buildings, identifying and analysing defects including proposals for repair; inspecting and providing advice on the design, construction, maintenance, repair, and refurbishment of all types of buildings and sites.
* Other key skills in areas such as party wall agreements, report writing, tender/bid processes, producing specifications for project works, and contract administration.
