The role of Compressor Service Engineer at Drew & Co is pivotal to our operations. This position involves the maintenance, repair, and optimisation of industrial compressors, ensuring they operate efficiently and reliably. The successful candidate will join a dedicated team of professionals who are passionate about delivering high-quality service and support to our clients.
Responsibilities
* Maintain, repair, install and commission compressors, vacuum pumps, blowers, dryers, nitrogen generators and other compressed air and pneumatic equipment.
* Equipment and system fault diagnosis.
* Equipment and system planned maintenance.
* Organise planned maintenance in accordance with manufacturer and client requirements.
* Attend customer sites to undertake breakdown repair works.
* Provide technical and equipment advice to the customer.
* Provide technical support during installation, testing and commissioning on site.
* Effectively work alongside Technicians from other disciplines to deliver turnkey projects.
* Always maintain effective communication with all stakeholders.
* Ensure the efficient ordering of materials and spare parts.
* Ensure all work complies with current standards. Conduct reviews and suggest improvements where necessary.
* Undertake all works in accordance with company H&S policies and procedures.
* Develop and maintain a positive working relationship with our customers.
* Provide a highly professional, technically capable and flexible attitude towards our customers.
* Actively promote the Company and the services offered.
Skills and Experience Needed - Essential
* A minimum of 3 years of experience in a similar role.
* Experienced with Atlas Copco, and all other compressor manufacturer's equipment.
* Willingness to participate in training and technical development.
* Positive, flexible, and pro-active attitude to work with a desire to influence others to adopt a similar attitude.
* Must be able to remain calm under pressure whilst conducting fault diagnosis and breakdown repair works.
* Ability to adhere to stringent Health and Safety rules and promote a safe working environment.
* Ability to read schematics and other drawings.
* Experience in a customer facing role, with strong communication and interpersonal skills.
* Excellent working knowledge of IT systems, including Office 365.
* Full driving licence.
Skills and Experience Needed - Desirable
* Familiarity with completing permits to work and will be able to complete accurate and concise paperwork.
* 18th Edition Qualified.
