What You’ll Be Doing As the Temporary Works Co-ordinator & Permit Controller, you will: Lead the design, planning, and execution of temporary works on site. Work closely with design teams, contractors, and site managers to ensure safe and effective implementation. Maintain and oversee the Temporary Works Register, ensuring full compliance with industry standards. Review and approve temporary works designs and documentation. Conduct regular site inspections to assess installations and ensure best practice. Act as the primary point of contact for all temporary works matters throughout the project. Compile and issue site permits, covering areas such as ground disturbance, hot works, hazardous works, and environmental permits. Provide expert technical guidance to the project team and key stakeholders. What You’ll Need to Succeed as the Temporary Works Co-ordinator & Permit Controller Proven experience as a Temporary Works Co-ordinator in the construction industry. A strong understanding of BS 5975 and other relevant industry regulations. Competency in temporary works design principles and risk assessment. Excellent communication and coordination skills to work effectively across teams. Experience in site management duties, particularly compiling and issuing permits. CITB Temporary Works Co-ordinator course certification. Bonus Skills (Desirable, but Not Essential) A qualification in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related field.
