Chubb Global Markets is a leading wholesale insurance division of the Chubb Group of Insurance Companies. Based in London, this is an exciting opportunity to work centrally within the management team overseeing six major product lines with a total revenue over $2bn. The successful candidate will support underwriting and senior management to enhance the use of data across the business and advise on strategic projects. Key working methods will include automation, modelling, NLP, and data visualisation. As Chubb Global Markets and the wider company transitions to a data-driven, AI supported model, the successful candidate will act as an advisor and conduit between centralised technology functions and underwriting. The role will report to the head of underwriting strategy and risk and sit within the central management team of CGM. Chubb Global Markets is looking for a candidate who is willing to learn and grow with the business, who is pro-active, and capable of offering innovative solutions for data issues. Key responsibilities To deliver strategic projects involving better, more efficient use of data across Chubb Global Markets. To work with wider functions to prioritise and support changes to enhance data available to manage underwriting effort and portfolio management. To advise underwriting and act as a conduit between central data and technology functions as they advance digitisation and generative AI. This includes aligning the business needs with the future state of data warehousing and reporting. To manage and enhance data-focused underwriting control processes for Chubb Global Markets such commission management, Peer Reviews, Underwriting authority reconciliations, etc) To work with IT, Finance and Business intelligence to raise and monitor key system changes to drive data quality in the portfolio via our different applications (Workview, Subscribe, Underwriting Work Bench, Insights, Qliksense, etc). To perform data analysis as required on new insurance product opportunities. To work within the framework of Chubb ethical and general guidelines. Maintaining continuous education opportunities to improve own technical skills and maintain professional credentials. Qualifications Required skills & experience: University degree or equivalent experience in mathematics, data science, statistics, business analytics or similar quantitative field Master usage of excel macros, Python, R, Qliksense, Qlikview, SQL for data management Insurance experience will be looked on favourably but it is not a prerequisite. Experience as an actuary, data scientist, data manager, business analyst, finance analyst or equivalent. Recent graduates will be considered for the right candidate.
