We are looking for a Engineering Project Manager for a 12 contract based in Solihull (hybrid) on behalf of our globally respected client who develop cutting–edge technologies that deliver clean, safe and competitive solutions to meet the planet's vital power needs.
Job description – the role
You'll be focused on collaborative working within a dynamic team, ensuring the effective deployment of agile programme management. You will be working alongside technical teams to define work scope, create plans of work and execute, managing risk and opportunities and ensuring a cross functional team deliver against the requirements set by the programme using the business processes available.
As a Engineering Project Manager you will be responsible for:
* Enable delivery through effective integrated working and project management.
* Key interface across all work scope stakeholders, using Integrated Product and Production Readiness (IPPR) to drive the work in the programme.
* Responsible for the creation and maintenance of project / critical component delivery schedules in P6 Primavera planning software.
* Deliver to cost, specification, and time for a defined package of work.
* Leading weekly/monthly planning updates and Integrated Project Team (IPT) meetings – responsible for objective assessment of project status/performance updates including; progress, forecast, recovery actions.
* Critical path and schedule variance analysis for project performance measurement.
* Key contributor to the various performance reviews with an understanding of key performance metrics and a proactive approach to recovery planning.
* Provide input to financial management, including monthly monitoring, Quarterly Forecasts, budgets, estimates to complete and invoicing.
* Maintain, develop & communicate the plan in the designated planning tool sets (both P6 and SAP) including: all contract deliverable milestones; internal milestones; invoicing and sales milestones including stage payments.
What we require from the candidate:
* Project & Stakeholder Management: Proven ability to manage cross–functional teams and stakeholders using Integrated Product and Production Readiness (IPPR) to ensure seamless delivery.
* Planning & Scheduling Expertise: Proficiency in P6 Primavera and SAP for creating, maintaining, and analysing project schedules, including critical path and variance analysis.
* Financial & Performance Monitoring: Experience in cost control, forecasting, budgeting, and performance tracking, with a proactive approach to recovery planning and risk mitigation.
