This role will effectively manage the pipeline for Modern Apprenticeship (MA) recruitment, from starts through to completion, ensuring appropriate monitoring and reviewing of MA progress is in place enabling the College to successfully meet the contractual terms and conditions of its contract. Ensuring that employer relationships are effectively managed throughout the MA lifecycle and that they are fully informed with regards to progress of their apprentices.
You will work in partnership with the Head of Innovation and Work Based Learning, Head of Commercial, Employer & DYW Engagement and in conjunction with Business Development, Commercial and Curriculum Teams to build strong commercial relationships with employers, better understand their apprenticeship needs, along with developing a strong partnership approach with Skills Development Scotland and Subcontractors, supporting employers to access funding opportunities for Modern Apprenticeships and other various Vocational Qualifications.
Key Responsibilities
1. Responsible for ensuring the successful delivery of SDS MA contract including generation of annual starts, compliance and securing annual income.
2. Provide a single point of contact for managing contract delivery, liaising with SDS Contract Manager & Skills Investment Advisor with regards to all aspects of the SDS MA contract.
3. Lead on all negotiations and tenders relating to the SDS Modern Apprenticeship contract. Lead on the MA programme recruitment campaigns including supporting the interview and selection of applicants.
4. Oversee and line manage the full MA Support Team including Contract Support Services and MA Development Partners to ensure targets are achieved.
5. Liaise with internal and external partners to achieve apprentice recruitment and performance targets and identify areas for growth.
6. Highlight any identified concerns regarding MA progress or college delivery to the appropriate Academic School management team, Vocational Learning & Assessment Manager for action and follow up to ensure resolution and feedback is provided.

Qualifications and Experience
Essential:
1. Diploma or above in relevant subject (SCQF Level 8) or relevant industry experience.
2. Proven experience of working within a client engagement environment.
3. Experience of working within a commercial contract environment, with a specific knowledge of MAs, vocational qualifications and National training programmes.
4. Proven experience of successfully managing a SDS MA or similar contract.
5. Proven experience of successfully managing a team.
6. Experience of working proactively with colleagues across departments to achieve outcomes.
Desirable:
1. Experience of working within the College sector in a commercial target team.
2. Experience of quality assurance and self-assessment of contract and training KPIs.
