What We Need
As our Bookkeeper, you will play a pivotal role in managing day-to-day financial operations of our Tipping and Terminal Financing products, ensuring accuracy of our records during a period of rapid development and change. Initially, the workload will involve a significant amount of manual tasks as we work towards implementing automated solutions. Your insights and input will be critical in designing and streamlining these processes.
This is an excellent opportunity for a proactive and detail-oriented professional to join a collaborative and ambitious team.
Your Responsibilities
1. Transaction Management: Accurately record, process, and reconcile financial transactions which includes 3 payment runs per week.
2. Reconciliation: Ensure timely and accurate reconciliation of accounts, including bank accounts, payables, and interaccount transfers.
3. Investigation: Proactively identify and resolve differences. Be the 2nd line support for customer queries related to financial transactions.
4. Manual Processes: Perform manual bookkeeping tasks, in excel, until we can transfer to a software provider.
5. Compliance: Maintain records and processes with best practice in mind and company policies.
6. Reporting: Prepare trial balances, and ad-hoc reports as needed.
7. Automation Input: Collaborate with finance and technical teams to provide input and support in designing automated solutions for financial processes.
8. Documentation: Maintain thorough and organized records to support audits and ensure smooth transitions during process automation.
9. Collaboration: Work closely with internal teams, including Finance, Product, Customer Services and Senior Management.
Your Profile
1. 5+ years of bookkeeping experience including some experience in maintaining manual records.
2. Strong organisational skills with the ability to prioritise tasks effectively.
3. Strong MS Excel skills (Macros are not required).
4. Professional English, both verbal and written.
5. Open to process change and be proactive in requesting change.
6. (+) Experience in managing 1 to 2 Direct Reports.
7. (+) Experience with different ERP systems.
8. (+) TRONC experience.
