We are currently recruiting for a Technical Sales Engineer to support and enhance our internal sales processes. About the role: We are looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Technical Sales Engineer to support and enhance our internal sales processes —including production, quality, logistics, and design—to ensure that all customer requirements are accurately captured and translated into our manufacturing documentation. You will play a key role in maintaining and developing strong relationships, ensuring accurate communication between MSL and its clients. After a period of training, you’ll contribute to the creation of production paperwork within our MRP system and help ensure product manufacturability. Key Responsibilities: Review and interpret customer technical requirements, including drawings and documentation. Translate technical specifications into clear, actionable production paperwork. Generate Bills of Materials (BOMs), routings, and work orders for manufacturing. Collaborate with physicists, engineers, and production teams to develop viable manufacturing solutions. Support the estimating team to issue timely and accurate quotations. Manage and align customer expectations through clear communication and follow-up. Essential Skills/Experience: Proven ability to read and interpret technical/engineering drawings. Strong commercial and practical understanding of manufacturing and quality systems. Basic proficiency in CAD software (e.g., Autodesk Inventor or AutoCAD). Confident user of Microsoft Office tools, especially Word, Excel, and Outlook. Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy. Strong organisational and time-management skills, with the ability to prioritise effectively. Desirable Skills: Previous experience in a technical sales, estimating, or customer-facing engineering role. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Experience working in a manufacturing environment. Familiarity with sheet metal manufacturing processes. Self-motivated, confident, and enthusiastic, with a passion for engineering.
