This is an excellent opportunity to work alongside our vibrant and ambitious Music and Drama departments at Norwich High School. While experience as a performing musician would be desirable, it is not a pre-requisite for the post. We seek someone who is creative, hard-working, and well-organised, able to work independently as well as part of a team. Initiative and motivation are essential qualities.
The post-holder will be responsible for:
1. Setting up music/drama lessons and rehearsals
2. Assisting with the music library and cataloguing of music
3. Helping at concerts, recitals, and school performances (which often fall out of hours)
4. Monitoring, moving, and setting up musical equipment including leads, stands, drum kits, amplifiers, recording equipment, etc.
5. Liaising with Visiting Music Teachers
6. Keeping records of instrumental timetables and ensemble registers
7. Assisting the Drama Department in rehearsals, productions, and performances as required
This is a part-time position (24 hours per week), working during school term time only, plus 10 days during the school holidays. The salary is Grade 3 on the GDST regional scale.
