We are looking for a Catering Assistant to help our small friendly kitchen team, providing assistance in food preparation and assisting with daily cleaning and regular deep cleaning of the catering area, equipment and surfaces.
The food we provide is a highly valued part of our service, making a real difference to our patients, families, staff and visitors. The team also provides catering to Hospice functions, as and when required.
People are at the heart of everything we do. And you would be no different. We are all vital cogs in delivering our care and support.
In this role you will have regular contact with patients, their families and visitors, therefore a friendly, caring and approachable manner is essential, with the resilience to work in a Hospice setting.

The Opportunity
1. To work within the kitchen providing assistance to catering staff in food preparation and cleaning on an ad-hoc basis.
2. To assist the Head of Catering and/or Senior Cook in food preparation as required.
3. To assist with general and deep cleaning of catering area and equipment.
4. Represent the organisation and uphold the organisations reputation and values.
Minimum Requirements
* Food hygiene certificate level 2
* Experience working as a kitchen assistant within a commercial kitchen environment
* Experience of cleaning all catering equipment and food preparation.
* Experience working as part of a team and a flexible and adaptable approach.
* Act as an ambassador for the Hospice at all times
Hourly salary: £11.44
Ability to work across 7 days on an ad-hoc basis with the flexibility to work occasional evenings
