What skills and experience we're looking for
• Recent successful teaching or teaching practice at KS3 + KS4 with the willingness to teach up to ‘A’ Level
• Good honours degree in English/PGCE in English
• Competent in the use of ICT
• Further specialist qualifications
• Good use of behavioural management techniques
• A good knowledge of the curriculum in English
• A knowledge of the variety of teaching and learning approaches which can be explored in English
• A knowledge and understanding of Assessment for Learning
• Willingness to take and act on advice
• High expectations of oneself and of students

• A sense of excitement about teaching and working with young people
