Registered Manager required for a small 22 bed residential home for elderly clients in Hoylake. The home is consistently rated 'good' with CQC and is part of a medium-sized organisation.
We require the following:
* Experience in a care home setting for elderly people for at least 5 years
* A strong leader who will be willing to work with the staff to ensure the standard of care delivery remains high.
* Genuine passion for elderly care, someone who wants to get to know our residents and their families and is visible and approachable to residents, visitors, and staff.
* Rota management, including strong leadership of staff absence. We use the Rota Cloud system for electronic staff management.
* A supportive manager for our team, someone who highly respects Care Staff and understands the challenges of their role.
* Auditing, to be done on time without delay each month.
* Strong knowledge of care planning, in particular, person-centred care. We use the PCS electronic care planning system.
* Infection control knowledge, a high standard of cleanliness and pride in the appearance of the home.
The majority of our other care homes are in the Greater Manchester area; therefore, the candidate must be able to work on their own initiative with minimal support, so the ability to self-manage is vital for this role.
We would consider applicants from a Deputy Manager/Unit Manager background wanting their first step into being a Registered Manager. You would be inducted and supported into your role by an experienced Team Leader who knows the home well.
Hours of work are 8am - 4pm Monday - Friday (40hrs a week).
