You will support a wide range of learners across school, both in class and interventions to make progress and be successful. Work
As an apprentice, you’ll work at a company and get hands-on experience. You’ll gain new skills and work alongside experienced staff.
What you’ll do at work
* Your day will start at 8:15am when you will prepare to welcome learners for the day ahead.
* At 8:30am you will welcome the first children into school to have their breakfast maths/phonics intervention.
* At 8:45am you will greet the rest of the children into the classroom and support specific children to be ready to learn through meet and greets or sensory circuits.
* Throughout the morning you will follow a timetable where you support in specific classrooms with learning across school.
* During lunch you will be supporting on the playground to promote physical activity through setting up games etc.
* You will also enjoy a school hot dinner in the staff room, if you wish.
* After lunch you will be supporting learning through same day interventions or working alongside the teacher in the classroom to deliver the afternoon wider curriculum lessons.
* At the end of the day you will support with afterschool clubs as needed.
