Job description
Oxford is a wonderful city, and Oxford City Council is working hard every day to make it even better. We’re going further and faster than any city in the UK to tackle the climate emergency; we’re building thousands of new homes for Oxford’s families and young people; and we’re fighting health and social inequality with millions of pounds of investment in grass-roots community and leisure facilities.
To make all of this happen, and to pull together in one direction as a team of more than 700 people, we need exceptional internal communications. And, with most Council officers working from home, this is now more important than ever. As a result, we’re looking for an experienced Internal Communications Officer to join our busy Communications Team.
We’re looking for a storyteller with exceptional communication skills – someone who can inspire colleagues with clear, concise messaging. We’re also looking for someone who isn’t afraid to experiment, and who is always looking to innovate and improve. But, most importantly, we’re looking for someone who wants to help us make a difference for the people and city of Oxford.
For an informal discussion about the post please contact Tom Jennings, Communications Manager, on 01865 252628 or email tjennings@oxford.gov.uk.
