Secondary English Teacher
Teaching Personnel is currently recruiting for a Secondary English Teacher in the Rhondda area to take up a full-time long-term position within a brilliant secondary school. The school currently have a long-term vacancy available immediately and running until the end of the academic year (July 2025). The successful applicant will be educating classes of students in Key Stages 3 & 4.
English Teacher Requirements:
Hold QTS (NQT or FQT)
Have experience teaching English to KS3 & KS4
Enhanced DBS available on the update service
Registered with the EWC or willingness to apply
Provide 2 school-based references (if applicable)
Have a passion for education

This exciting position is ideal for an ECT/NQT who is looking to gain experience in an award-winning school based in the Ferndale area. Alternatively, this is a great position for an FQT wanting a new challenge on a long-term basis. The English Teacher position is maternity cover that begins immediately and will run from now, through the remainder of this academic year and into the next.
The successful applicant will be working as part of a team in a friendly and reliable English department, who will assist in the delivery of engaging and valuable English lessons throughout the school day. The school has indicated there is additional training and mentoring available during the role to ensure the successful English Teacher is able to perform at their highest level. Furthermore, you will have access to the school’s fantastic and innovative facilities including ICT suites, intervention rooms and a large English department.
