Responsibilities:
* Provide high-level administrative support to solicitors and legal teams, ensuring the smooth running of the department.
* Prepare, proofread, and format legal documents, correspondence, and contracts with a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail.
* Manage diary appointments, meetings, and travel arrangements for legal professionals.
* Handle confidential and sensitive information with discretion and professionalism.
* Assist in the preparation for client meetings, hearings, and court appearances.
* Organise and maintain filing systems, ensuring all documents are up-to-date and easily accessible.
* Perform general office duties including answering calls, taking messages, and managing email communications.
* Collaborate with other administrative staff to provide seamless support across the firm.
* Ensure compliance with internal processes, systems, and legal procedures.
Requirements:
* Proven experience as a legal secretary, ideally within a law firm setting.
* Strong document production experience, including the ability to create, edit, and format complex legal documents.
* Excellent organisational and time-management skills, with the ability to multitask effectively.
* Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and legal software.
* Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
* High attention to detail and the ability to work under pressure to tight deadlines.
* Discretion and professionalism when dealing with sensitive matters.
* Experience in a particular area of law (corporate, commercial, litigation, etc.) is a plus, though not essential.
