Personal Care Teaching Assistant
Teaching Personnel are working closely with a secondary school based in Wigan, aiding them with the recruitment of a Teaching Assistant who has experience with personal care.
The school require someone to start immediately and have highlighted that the incoming member of staff will be supporting a young female student with wheelchair requirements.

* Must hold a DBS or be willing to apply for one and register it to the update service.

The school are looking for a permanent solution for the student however would like to trial run the effect of having a dedicated member of staff supporting this individual and see how beneficial it is to her learning in school. With this in mind there will be an opportunity for progression and even earn a permanent contract further down the line.
The pupil that is in need of additional support can sometimes be reluctant to do her work and also sometimes finds it difficult to engage with other children and staff members. With this in mind, to be considered you must have a strong character, be calm when dealing with challenging behaviour and be able to build a good working relationship with this girl to help her progress.
