The role will require regular travel across the region For a greater career just add water Water Recycling Networks (WRN) are looking for a proactive and innovative WRN Flow Catchment Lead to join our Tactical Asset Strategy team, reporting directly into the Proactive System Risk & Control Manager. In this role you will provide data-driven insight and lead the way in using an evidence based approach in all that you do. You will work collaboratively with other departments and our frontline teams, to support our mission of achieving ‘Zero Spills’ and promote solutions and new ways of working to deliver performance improvement. Working closely with the Spills team, you will develop a suite of strategic and tactical solutions to drive reductions in Water Recycling Networks spill event frequencies and durations. You will be responsible for driving tangible improvements in our spills performance through the delivery of our Spill Event Reduction Plan. This will be reliant on optimising relationships and developing your networks, to support the widescale employment of catchment-based approaches through a cultural change towards a ‘Zero Spills’ mindset. As a Flow Catchment Lead, you will experience a hybrid working environment predominantly being office-based, however the operational focus and experience required will mean getting out and about and embedding yourself within the relevant local front-line teams, to drive and support long-term operational success. Your key duties will include: Promoting holistic thinking across Water Recycling to ensure the appropriate focus on our Spills challenge and the achievement of the desired reduction and improvement. Championing spills communication and a ‘Zero Spills’ mindset by embedding and supporting the challenge within our front-line teams. Communicating spills reports and action updates to key stakeholders via Sub Stream Board and celebrating success. Promote best practice to drive operational improvement Driving the delivery and tracking of the Spills Event Reduction Plan on behalf of Water Recycling Networks and providing assurance of progress. Provide insight and guidance on our spills position in an understandable way to Front Line Managers including the creation of mitigation plans/options. Collaborate with Front Line Managers, Tactical Asset Strategy and Spills team to create a Water Recycling Networks Spills improvement plan covering short, medium and long term scenarios. Ensure created improvement plans are delivered to their entirety, clearly documented, updated and tracked as well as monitoring their effectiveness post intervention. What does it take to be a Flow Catchment Lead? Strong operational / regulatory knowledge of process and spill methodology and technology. Demonstrable experience in delivering operational improvement with knowledge of spill management strategies would be beneficial. Experience in asset health monitoring, environmental analysis and data-driven decision making. Possession of robust communication skills, capable of dissecting complex scenarios to derive meaningful insights. Ability to derive insight from data and physical surveys to recommend and implement effective interventions. Confidence in communication and engaging a diverse range of stakeholders to enable them to understand the risk and solution available to them, building relationships for the best outcome. A positive and collaborative approach to relationship management with the drive to work as part of a wider team and focus on the bigger picture. A drive to learn and develop understanding of new areas/processes with an always exploring mindset embedded in everything you do. Proficiency in the Microsoft Office Suite, including but not limited to Powerbi, Excel, and Word is essential for effectively managing and analysing information. Prioritisation skills are crucial for managing multiple tasks efficiently and effectively navigating the demands of the role.
