Based at our Sheffield site as a Continuous Improvement Lead at Loadhog, you will play a key role in driving operational excellence through the implementation and continuous improvement of quality systems and lean methodologies. Working closely with cross-functional teams, you will identify opportunities to enhance process efficiency, reduce waste, and ensure high standards of product quality are maintained. You will actively solve problems and determine area of improvement, prioritising your workload based on ROI. Normal working hours will be 40 hours per week. The Company operates a flexible working policy, with office hours of 7am-7pm Monday-Friday. This is a site-based role. There will be occasional opportunities to travel to other Loadhog sites in France and the United States to help implement operational excellence. Key Responsibilities Lead and support Lean and Continuous Improvement initiatives across manufacturing and moulding processes to drive operational efficiency and waste reduction. Use Lean tools (5S, Kaizen, line balancing, Value Stream Mapping, Root Cause Analysis, etc.) to analyse processes and identify areas for improvement. Facilitate problem-solving workshops and root cause investigations to resolve quality issues and process inefficiencies. Collaborate across all departments to implement corrective and preventive actions. Drive a culture of continuous improvement and foster a mindset of operational excellence across the site. Interrogate data and prioritise project based on RIO Record, evaluate and line balance assembly processes to maximise the utilisation of space, operators and equipment Present findings and objectively justify capex expenditure for equipment Be involved mapping and writing processes for our Digital Transformation implementation Deliver savings based on a pre-defined list of agreed projects for 2025 Who you are? Hold a degree or equivalent qualification in Engineering, Manufacturing, or a related field. Proven experience in a Quality or Continuous Improvement role within a manufacturing environment. Strong knowledge of Lean methodologies and quality management systems (e.g., ISO 9001). Experience in optimising assembly procedures, increasing throughput and quality. Experience with tools and methodologies such as Six Sigma, Kaizen, 5S, Value Stream Mapping, Line balancing and Root Cause Analysis. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen attention to detail. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with cross-functional teams. Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment. Experience implementing automation and robotic systems Experience using Engel moulding machines and optimising injection moulding parameters would be advantageous. Experience using CAD, creating and interpreting drawings (especially tolerances), and the use of Power BI would be advantageous.
