Responsibilities
* Deliver tailored English and Maths tutoring to Key Stage 3 students with Special Educational Needs (SEN) in an outreach setting
* Create individualised learning plans to support the academic development of each student
* Monitor and assess student progress, adjusting teaching methods as needed
* Collaborate with parents, teachers, and other stakeholders to ensure a comprehensive support system for students
Minimum Requirements
* Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
* Experience working with students with Special Educational Needs
* Strong knowledge of the KS3 English and Maths curriculum
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
* Bachelor's degree in Education or relevant field
* Minimum of 2 years of teaching experience, preferably in SEN education
* Understanding of SEN teaching strategies and best practices
* Ability to adapt teaching methods to meet the diverse needs of students
* Proficiency in assessing student progress and implementing appropriate interventions
* Additional certification in Special Educational Needs (SEN) teaching
* Experience in delivering outreach education services
This role requires working closely with students with diverse learning needs. The tutor will be expected to travel to various outreach locations within the East of England region.
