Role Overview
We are seeking a dependable individual to join our team as a Warehouse Operative. This role is suitable for someone who can manage the physical heavy lifting of big fabric rolls and operate an FLT. Therefore, previous experience is a must.
Warehouse Operative Responsibilities
* Receive, unload, and store goods and supplies accurately and responsibly. This will require some very heavy lifting (by hand).
* Maintain inventory controls by collecting stock location orders and printing requests.
* Prepare and complete orders for delivery or pickup according to schedule (loading, packing, wrapping, labelling, shipping).
* Operate warehouse equipment, including forklifts and pallet jacks, safely and efficiently.
* Keep a clean and safe working environment.
* Follow quality service standards and comply with procedures, rules, and regulations.
* Assist with warehouse organisation and perform tasks as assigned by supervisors.
Essential Skills and Qualifications
* Previous warehouse experience is a must.
* Valid Forklift Certification.
* Able to handle heavy equipment and operating machinery.
* Ability to work independently.
* Attention to detail and the ability to follow instructions accurately.
* Basic computer skills for inventory management systems and order processing.
* Good communication skills to liaise with team members and other departments.
