About Us
Wycliffe is an HMC co-educational day and boarding school located in Stonehouse, approximately 25 miles north of Bristol and 15 miles south of Cheltenham and Gloucester. Access via the motorway network is convenient (we are 3 miles from the M5) and there is a train station in Stonehouse (on the main line from London to Cheltenham) which is just a two-minute walk from the school gates. In the Senior School, pupils join at Year 9 (age 13) and continue until Year 13 (age 18). There are around 420 pupils in the school and 225 in the Sixth Form. Some 27 subjects are offered at A Level including Japanese, Film Studies, Computer Science, and Psychology. Three BTECs are on offer as well as the EPQ. Main sports are rugby, football, and cricket for boys, with hockey, netball, and tennis for girls. Wycliffe is the top school in the UK for squash and excels at rowing and basketball, and there is a thriving CCF.
