You and Your Team:
The Senior Credit Risk Analyst will utilize data-driven insights to develop, implement, and optimize Acquisition Strategies for VBG.
In your day-to-day role, as a Senior Analyst you will:
* Develop accurate, statistically validated credit risk models supporting the model build, validation, and governance process.
* Evaluate data quality and communicate issues with analysis interpretation.
* Support research for credit risk modeling improvements, regulatory recommendations, and techniques.
* Assess the business impact of new model implementations through sensitivity analysis of parameters used in capital calculations.
* Support reporting and monitoring to ensure models remain appropriate for the portfolio.
* Assist in preparing for internal approval of credit risk models.
* Ensure that models and changes are documented, communicated, understood, aligned, and approved by relevant Business Units and Risk Heads.
* Participate in Credit Risk Modelling governance and technical forums as required.
* Adhere to FCA Senior Manager Conduct rules.
Knowledge and expertise:
* Exceptional quantitative skills, including credit analytics.
* Practical application of statistical modeling techniques.
* Ability to evaluate data quality.
* Experience in developing credit risk models, regulatory recommendations, and techniques.
* Experience in consumer credit, preferably in sub-prime or online lending sectors.
* Understanding of corporate governance frameworks.
* Coding skills or transferable technical skills.

* Strong communication and technical skills.
* Experience with SAS/SQL/R or similar data mining tools.
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
* Ability to plan, organize, and prioritize effectively in a fast-paced environment.
* Knowledge of IFRS9 and credit risk forecasting.
The interview process:
* Initial telephone interview with Talent Acquisition (up to 30 mins).
* Interview with the hiring team (up to 60 mins, competency-based).
* Final interview with Daniel Betts, Head of Credit Risk.
