We are delighted to be recruiting for a Maintenance Engineering Technician to work on Maintenance.
The Engineering Technician is responsible for installation, maintenance, repair, modification, and safety to maintain operations, productivity, and site facilities including all relevant documentation & MS.
Our client is a growing business, so you must have the flexibility to work all shifts as required by the business.
Currently, the shift pattern is:
1. 6am - 14:30hrs
2. 13:30hrs - 21:00hrs
All these shifts are subject to change.
You will also be required to work 1 in 4 weekends; however, this is subject to change depending on the needs of the business. Overtime is available.
Job Purpose:
To perform the job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
Duties and Responsibilities:
1. Lead and participate in installation, modification, major repairs, and preventative maintenance activity.
2. Provide demonstrated safety awareness and performance in the department and throughout the QCC.
3. Lead and participate in all capital & maintenance projects.
4. Manage/assist outside contractors as necessary.
5. Participate in the development & implementation of the preventative maintenance program and ensure substance and compliance.
6. Management of maintenance parts, tools, and departmental areas.
7. Maintain or improve productivity standards by cooperation at all levels & developing efficient practices. Implement ways to increase productivity levels/performance through knowledge of formal continuous improvement methodology (Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, TQM, etc.).
8. Coordinate contingency plans to minimize operational interruptions in the event of equipment breakdowns.
9. Adhere to our client's policies as stated in company manuals, training manuals, or other written communications in addition to all relevant UK legislation.
10. Maintain accurate and complete departmental records.
Functional Skills:
1. Ability to effectively communicate and give direction verbally and in writing.
2. Must have demonstrated technical skills/certification in Electrical and Mechanical.
Education, Experience & Certifications:
1. Electrical and Mechanical Certification.
2. Engineering Maintenance, HVAC/refrigeration, electrical, PLC Logic.
3. Must be able to read and interpret mechanical drawings, construction drawings, machine manuals, electrical blueprints/electrical schematics.
4. Experience with preventative maintenance programs.
