Description About Castlebridge School Castlebridge School is a brand new provision that is being developed in a beautiful and inspiring part of Devon and will consist of two sites. One in Tavistock and one in Ivybridge. The first site that will be opening is in Tavistock. Castlebridge School and the Tavistock Hub will predominantly be for pupils with emotionally based school avoidance and anxiety linked to autism. All pupils will have an EHCP and be processed through Devon admissions. This provision will be carefully designed to meet the needs of pupils who have often found it challenging in a mainstream school. Castlebridge School will cater for pupils from year 3 to year 11. Tavistock site will cater for up to 30 students within this age range. About the Role: We are looking for a highly organised and efficient Administration Manager to join our team creating a new provision to transform the life opportunities of young people with Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) needs. This school will be the only SEMH school within Cornwall providing a continuum of specialist provision and will provide the support to enable pupils to learn, thrive and succeed in their education. This is a key role in ensuring the smooth running of administrative operations, supporting staff, parents, and students with excellent service and professionalism. Key Responsibilities: • Oversee the daily administrative operations of the school, ensuring efficiency and compliance. • Manage office staff, assigning tasks and ensuring workloads are balanced. • Maintain accurate school records, including attendance, safeguarding, and student data. • Handle correspondence, telephone calls, and enquiries from parents, staff, and external agencies. • Assist with HR functions, including recruitment support, staff contracts, and absence management. • Oversee financial administration such as invoicing, budget monitoring, and procurement. • Ensure compliance with school policies, GDPR regulations, and safeguarding requirements. • Work closely with the senior leadership team to support strategic planning and school development. • Coordinate school events, meetings, and staff training sessions. • Act as a key point of contact between school leadership, parents, and external stakeholders. What We Are Looking For: • Previous experience in an administrative management role, preferably in a school or education setting. • Strong organisational and multitasking skills, with excellent attention to detail. • Ability to manage confidential and sensitive information professionally. • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and school management systems (SIMS, Arbor, or similar). • Strong leadership and communication skills to manage a team effectively. • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines. • A friendly and professional approach, with a commitment to excellent customer service.
