1:1 Teaching Assistant (Full-Time) - North Tyneside
We are working in partnership with a school in North Tyneside to recruit a full-time 1:1 Teaching Assistant, supporting a Year 1 child who is currently working at Early Years level.
We are looking for a dedicated, empathetic, and enthusiastic Teaching Assistant with experience supporting children with additional needs.
- Working directly with the pupil on curriculum-related tasks under the guidance of the class teacher.
- Supporting the pupil both inside and outside the classroom to ensure full participation in all activities.
- Assisting with the implementation of the pupil's Individual Education, Health, and Care Plan (EHCP), and helping to monitor their progress.
- Providing regular feedback to the class teacher regarding the pupil's needs to support their ongoing assessment.
- Assisting with personal care as part of the role.
- Have experience working with children in an educational setting.
- Hold a full and relevant Level 2 qualification (or equivalent) in a childcare-related discipline.
- Be skilled at motivating and engaging children in their learning.
- Demonstrate a proactive, energetic, and reliable approach to supporting students.
- Have a minimum of six months of recent experience working in a UK education setting.
