We are seeking a qualified SEN Teacher for a specialist secondary school dedicated to providing high-quality education for students with a range of special educational needs, including Profound and Multiple Learning Difficulties (PMLD), Severe and Moderate Learning Difficulties (SLD/MLD), and Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD). Our school fosters a nurturing and inclusive environment where every student is supported to reach their full potential.
We are looking for an enthusiastic and dedicated SEN Teacher to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering engaging and personalised learning experiences, supporting students' academic, social, and emotional development. You will work closely with a multidisciplinary team to ensure students receive the tailored support they need.
Responsibilities:
* Plan and deliver lessons adapted to the diverse needs of SEN students
* Assess and monitor student progress, providing individualised support
* Develop and implement Individual Education Plans (IEPs) and behaviour support strategies
* Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment
* Collaborate with colleagues, parents, and external agencies to support student development
Minimum Requirements:
* Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) is essential
* Experience working with students with special educational needs (PMLD, SLD/MLD, ASD)
* Strong understanding of differentiated learning approaches
* Excellent communication and teamwork skills
* A commitment to professional development and reflective practice
* An enhanced child DBS on the update service
