At Teva Runcorn, we develop, manufacture and market innovative and affordable medicines, specialising in sterile liquid products mainly used for treating respiratory conditions using Blow-Fill-Seal technology as well as injectable Combination Products such as our MS treatment Copaxone.
A Day In The Life Of A Senior Microbiology Technician
This exciting position will cover the coaching and direction of technicians in all aspects of microbiology testing and tasks across the Laboratory.
Please note - this role will require you to work shifts 6am - 6pm (including every other weekend).
Key Responsibilities:
1. Documentation - checking and approval of batch documentation, (Product and starting materials). Ensure a high level of compliance in accordance with CGMP and maintain performance through regular review of data and data management systems.
2. Testing - To provide testing support when required for raw materials, bulk and finished product. Assist with co-ordination of testing activities. Complete complex investigations using root cause analysis, trending results, and finding corrective or preventative actions. Enhance the laboratories performance through drive and continuous improvements.
3. Trend and review LIMS results or product review reports in accordance with company procedures.
4. Training - Training of laboratory / site personnel in microbiology techniques and knowledge.
5. Review and approval of Microbiology data and other appropriate documentation, support the Microbiology Department and deputise for Team Leader if required.
6. Act in a QC Quality Assurance Unit capacity independent from testing activities for raw material/component release.
Who We're Looking For?
Do you have?
7. A degree qualification within a relevant science based discipline
8. A minimum of 3 years experience within Pharmaceutical environment
9. Technical knowledge and expertise in a regulated microbiology laboratory environment.
10. An understanding of GMP/EP requirements and Regulators Expectations
11. Aseptic Techniques knowledge
12. Technical Report writing experience
13. Computer-literate with experience in the use of Laboratory databases (eg. LIMS) and some Quality systems (Deviation, Change Control, CAPA support, Documentation)
