KS3 Class Teacher - Specialist School (SEMH Focus)
Location: Stoke
Position: Full-Time, Monday to Friday (Temp to Perm Opportunity)
Are you a passionate and resilient teacher with a strong commitment to making a difference? We are seeking a KS3 Class Teacher to work with a specialist school in Stoke, dedicated to supporting pupils with Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) needs.
As the KS3 Class Teacher, you will play a pivotal role in providing high-quality, tailored education in a supportive and structured environment. Working with small classes, you will have the invaluable support of Teaching Assistants and Behaviour Mentors to help manage behaviour and ensure each child receives the attention they need to thrive.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging lessons tailored to meet the unique needs of your pupils
- Build positive relationships with pupils to create a safe, supportive classroom
- Implement strong behaviour management strategies with a focus on de-escalation and positive reinforcement
- Work closely with support staff to address the academic, social, and emotional needs of each pupil
About You:
- Personable, adaptable, and resilient with a genuine passion for helping pupils with SEMH
- Strong behaviour management skills and the ability to remain calm under pressure
- Ability to work collaboratively with Teaching Assistants and Behaviour Mentors
- Experienced in planning and delivering differentiated lessons
