The Role you will be doing Be the first point of contact for suppliers Raising purchase orders for two UK sites for approval by manager Processing purchase invoices and liaising with relevant departments to resolve any queries Preparation of weekly and monthly payment runs for approval by manager, ensuring creditors are paid to terms Posting cash to ledger Statement reconciliations Invoice generation and processing Collecting card payments from clients Liaising with clients to collect payments ahead of deliveries Cover for weekly payroll, including journal preparation, overtime and absence reporting Assisting HR with maintenance of employee records Management and journal posting of company credit cards Maintenance of material import spreadsheet for quarterly HMRC imports Liaising with commercial departments to resolve incomplete issues with imports About you Broad experience in all aspects of finance Ideally you will have experience of Sage. Experience in a manufacturing environment is desirable but not essential Competent in using Excel Payroll experience is desirable Can assist and work alongside the assistant accountant and financial controllers Comfortable working in a small, fast moving office environment Able to use initiative and work to deadlines Have strong communication skills
